Sizing Guide
Find Your Perfect Fit
At ManInTheStudio, comfort and clarity come first. Our pieces are cut with ease in mind and made to order, so choosing the right size should be effortless. Use this quick guide to measure, compare, and decide—then add small custom tweaks if you need them.
How Our Sizing Works
We use several sizing conventions to match different silhouettes:
Single sizes (XXS–XXL) used for regular or closer to body shapes. Choose your usual size; check each product’s GARMENT measurements for confirmation.
Double sizes (for example XXS/XS, S/M, L/XL, XXL or XXS/XS, S-XL, XXL ) designed for oversized / relaxed pieces with generous drape. If you prefer a neater look, consider the smaller option within the range.
ONE size are cut with a relaxed, easy silhouette to accommodate a range of body shapes. Expect comfortable drape through the bust, waist and hips. The look can vary from slightly loose to oversized depending on your proportions.
Custom Size
Need it just right? All our items are listed as made-to-order, therefore they all can be made in a custom – just for you – size.
Note: customized items are made especially for you and are non returnable. We’ll confirm details by email before sewing.
Fit Descriptors (What to Expect on the Body)
Regular fit – our most streamlined everyday fit: relaxed but not loose, skims the body.
Loose fit – more room through the body and sleeves; designed for effortless movement; flexible between sizes.
Oversized – intentionally generous cut with volume and drape; many customers can wear two sizes depending on styling preference.
Quick tip: for oversized pieces choose the smaller for a tidier look, larger for dramatic drape. For structured bottoms or if your hips are at the upper limit choose the larger size.
Body vs. Garment Measurements
Body measurements help you locate your size range.
Garment measurements show how the actual piece will fit. Ensure your body measurements are smaller than the garment at key points—bust, waist, shoulders, and etc.
You’ll find Body measurements (size ranges) and Garment measurements (of the actual piece) on every product page. Garment measurements are taken flat, double them where needed and compare with a similar item you own.
How to Measure
Wear light underlayers and use a soft tape:
Bust/chest – around the fullest point.
Waist – at your slimmest part of your waist.
Hips – around the fullest part of the bottom/thighs.
Bicep, inseam, shoulder width (optional by style).
